Description:
Law schools are launch-pads for future lawyers who will enter and eventually lead our legal community. They are ideal places to help law students understand the importance of creating an inclusive culture, no matter where their career takes them. Recognizing that “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” initiatives often leave out the disabled community, the City Bar’s Disability Law Committee launched a Law School Outreach subcommittee to study how law schools within the City work to build inclusive environments for disabled law students, faculty, and staff. This CLE will include a panel discussion bringing together different perspectives on the challenges and best practices for building a more inclusive culture within law schools and legal education.
