Description:
A great actress once said “Everything I learned, I learned from the movies.” Fortunately she was not a lawyer. Some of our favorite and unforgettable movie characters over the years have been lawyers. These characters have made us laugh, cry, and inspired us to do great things. But sometimes what we learn from the big screen may not fly in the real-world where the Rules of Professional Conduct govern lawyers’ conduct. Join us for a fun-filled evening where we will explore some of the ethics issues that arise in lawyer movies including the duties of candor, competence, and the unauthorized practice of law. Ethics credits and popcorn to be provided by the City Bar.
