Business Bankruptcy 101 for Small/Mid-Size Firm and Solo Practitioners (Part I Only)

Program Fee:
$99.50 for Members | $149.50 for Nonmembers
Small Law Firm: $39.50 for Members
Members who are Law Students, Recent Law Graduates, Newly Admitted Lawyers (admitted for the first time in any state or country 2019-2021), In-House/Corporate Counsel, Judges, or attorneys that practice within the Government, Academic or Not-for-Profit sectors attend this program for free.

This program provides transitional/non-transitional credit to all attorneys
Description:
This two-part program is for small and mid-size firm and solo practitioners who may be fielding inquiries from clients about businesses experiencing financial distress and considering or undergoing bankruptcy, and who want insight into how to address the prevailing issues and questions that arise.
Participants can expect to learn:
The fundamental concepts and law governing business bankruptcies
The questions and issues that typically arise when a business is in distress from the standpoint of various key players and constituents
How experienced practitioners address these issues and questions
Part I of the program will identify the key players/constituents typically involved and provide an overview of fundamental bankruptcy concepts and law.
Part II will present and answer “frequently asked questions” from the perspective of the various key players/constituents and will build on the concepts covered in Part I. A portion of the FAQs will specifically address ethical considerations.
