Description:
The 2024 Law Day theme “Voices of Democracy” encourages Americans to participate in the 2024 elections by deepening their understanding of the electoral process; discussing issues in honest and civil ways; turning out to vote; and, finally, understanding processes in place to ensure free and fair elections.

Celebrate Law Day on May 1 by joining us for a special program with Damon Hewitt, President and Executive Director of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.

Mr. Hewitt will speak to the City Bar about current threats to democracy, including voter suppression and mis- and dis-information, and the ways we can strengthen it. Mr. Hewitt will also speak about the nonpartisan Election Protection Coalition and the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline.
