Description:
Are you looking for advice on how to overcome the challenges facing diverse law students as they transition from the classroom into compliance or legal careers?  Please join the New York City Bar Association for a frank virtual discussion with compliance lawyers of exceptionally diverse backgrounds on what it means to be a compliance professional and the opportunities for diverse law students to have fulfilling careers in the compliance space.

Participants will have the opportunity, in smaller, rotating virtual group sessions, to engage with experienced and diverse lawyers on their personal career paths in compliance, how they overcame the challenges of being diverse law students and diverse lawyers, and practical steps that diverse law students can take to overcome racial and gender bias and break into the compliance field.
