The pace of companies adopting and using promotional and advertising tools and vehicles has greatly accelerated, including sweepstakes, skill contests, and social and digital marketing, embodying the most current forms of technological changes, such as Chatbot and AI. Social media laws applying to posting, tweeting, the growing labyrinth of federal and state privacy restrictions, and Dark Patterns and other types of cases raised by the FTC are all challenging and changing the advertising, privacy, and intellectual property ecosystems and raising quite complex questions and issues, many of first instance, for lawyers practicing in several different areas.
In this program, experts in these fields address and clarify the key issues today for marketing, advertising, and privacy practitioners, among others; topics will include:
