Description:
Join us for a discussion of the recently published “framework” for Federal agencies that fund research to exercise march-in rights under the Bayh-Dole Act. The Act addresses ownership and licensing of patent rights to inventions derived from government-funded research. This program will explore the potential pros and cons of the proposed framework for stakeholders. The implementation of this framework may affect a broad range of industries and stakeholders, as demonstrated by the examples provided in the framework to illustrate its potential application to research concerning pharmaceuticals, dimensional printing technology, transportation technology, water purification technology, and personal protective equipment.
