After surveying updates to state and federal laws impacting trans and nonbinary people, panelists will discuss how practitioners can adapt and adjust their advocacy skills to address new and ongoing challenges faced by trans and nonbinary clients in various settings, including in criminal court, in accessing name changes and other affirming identity documents, and accessing other social services like health and aging services.
