As many as 48% of domestic violence victims, including victims with children, remain in abusive situations because they lack safety options that include their pets, which are often also the targets of their abusers. Creative solutions are needed to ensure the safety of the entire family. A panel will discuss the current domestic violence sheltering system and relevant laws and legislation.
