The New York City Bar Chorus, directed by Kathryn E. Schneider and accompanied by Matthew V. Grieco, just celebrated its 20th Anniversary last November with a standing-room-only show at the House of the Association. It has staged more than 200 concerts at senior residences, homeless shelters, AIDS and cancer patient residences, and pediatric and rehabilitation facilities around the city, as well as for luminaries of the bench and bar. To serve these diverse audiences, the City Bar Chorus draws upon a diverse songlist running the gamut from ABBA to Queen, Gershwin to gospel, and West Side Story to Pippin and Wicked. The City Bar Chorus has been heard on local and national television and public radio.

Now in its eighth year, the Chicago Bar Association Chorus, directed by Rebecca Patterson and accompanied by Janet Eckhardt, enhances the public's understanding and image of the Chicago Bar Association and offers opportunities for civic involvement and artistic expression. The CBA Chorus typically performs classical masterworks, such as Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and Orff's Carmina Burana, often in collaboration with the CBA Symphony Orchestra, in famed Chicago cultural and civic venues, even extending to the Old State Capitol in Springfield for a concert focusing on Lincoln and the Civil War era. In its upcoming New York appearance, the CBA Chorus will feature traditional songs of the Americas.

Please join us for this unique collaboration between two historic bar associations.
