Ending Revenge Porn: Privacy Protections and Legal Remedies

This panel will explore the increasing problem of "Revenge Porn" as a domestic violence issue. "Revenge Porn" is the nonconsensual electronic sharing of sexually explicit content, often by current or former intimate partners. Panelists will discuss the devastating effects of dissemination of these images and the difficulty of removing images and videos once they have been shared. In addition to learning about the effects of revenge porn, the panel will discuss current and proposed legal remedies, examining the tension between these remedies and First Amendment rights.
