Since 2010 the New York City Council has been considering a bill that would allow immigrants lawfully present in the city to vote in municipal elections. Now, with a mayor and city council touting a progressive agenda, the time may be ripe for enacting such a measure. Panelists will discuss issues raised by the bill, as well as the history of non-citizen voting.
