Are you ready to take your interest in joining a corporate board to the next level? Have you thought about it, but not acted upon it until now? The percentage of board seats held by women in companies in the Fortune 500 was 16.6% in 2012. More public and shareholder awareness of the lack of diversity on corporate boards means more opportunities for women.

Please join us for a hands-on workshop comprised of small group discussions facilitated by leading advisors with experience in the board search process. The discussions will focus on topics such as networking, marketing yourself to companies and search firms, formulating a board-ready resume and personal statement, preparing for the interview process, and selecting a board that is a good fit for you.

Please bring a current resume, biography or personal statement. If you wish a copy of the board candidate workbook which was made available to participants in prior programs, please contact Bernadette Beekman, bbeekman@yorkson.com or Sarah Cave cave@hugheshubbard.com.

Facilitators: BARBARA BRIDENDOLPH, President, Crenshaw Associates; KEITH GOTTFRIED, Alston & Bird LLP; SHAUNA MORRISON, CFO, GMI Ratings, Inc.

Sponsored by: Committee on Women in the Profession, Lori Pines, Chair
