Stress pervades legal practice and often leads to unhealthy coping mechanisms and burnout. The ability to monitor thoughts, emotions, and physical reactions provides the key to resilient responses to these challenges. Fortunately, resilience is a habit that can be learned. Drawing on mindfulness, neuroscience, and other health sciences, this workshop will provide positive strategies to manage stress and thrive in the practice of law.

Bjorn Sorenson serves as counsel, consultant, and coach to mission-driven social entrepreneurs, businesses, and leaders. Bjorn has studied and taught mindfulness and conflict resolution for over 15 years and is a frequent presenter at the New York City Bar Association Mindfulness in Law Group. Bjorn is a Qualified Teacher of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.
