It has been reported that more than a third of all lawyers have an iPad Most lawyers also have a smartphone. Every day, new software for lawyers using these mobile devices is introduced. Increasingly, lawyers can work where ever they want with their mobile devices. But how much real work can a lawyer do on devices with small screens and small processors? Can a lawyer ditch the desktop or laptop pc? In this presentation, John Upton, an attorney and software developer, will demonstrate the most popular and useful mobile applications for lawyers. While participants might not decide to retire their main computers, they certainly will be exposed to applications that will make it easier for them to practice law.

Speaker: John Upton, a sole practitioner of civil rights law for over 30 years, channeled his longtime interest in computer software into the founding of a company to sell mobile software for attorneys and others.
