Description:
This webinar series will discuss the conduct of virtual proceedings  -- trials, appeals, conferences and related proceedings -- in the New York state and federal courts, how they are presently conducted and best practices that should be considered by lawyers, judges, and court administrators in those courts.  This session will cover what has been done in terms of remote proceedings in the general parts, Commercial Division and Appellate Divisions of the New York State courts and in the Federal District Courts and Second Circuit; what the challenges have been from the perspective of both practitioners and the courts; and what can we do to make things even better. The third session on March 23 will discuss lessons learned, best practices and how the conduct of virtual proceedings can be improved.
