3. Proposed Program Title:*

4. CLE Program Summary/Objectives:*

Please provide a brief summary in narrative form, describing the content of the proposed program indicating why it’s important attorneys in this particular practice area should attend. Include in your summary three key benefits or skills that attendees will gain from attending your program. (e.g. How to draft a Will; How to Cross-Examine a Hostile Witness; How Legislation Will Impact His/Her Practice, etc.)

5. UPLOAD A TIMED AGENDA IN A WORD DOCUMENT. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VIEW AN EXAMPLE OF A TIMED AGENDA:*

Please upload a timed agenda for your program in a word document detailing the amount of time spent on each segment of the program. When creating a timed agenda please keep in mind the credit-hour for NY is 50 minutes with credit increments of 25 minutes equaling 0.5 CLE credits. Of course, you are not limited to 25 or 50 mins per section but it will simplify and maximize credit calculations. The CLE agenda should also include allocated time for the introduction of the program/faculty, any breaks, and Q/A each typically lasting anywhere between 5-15 minutes.

6. Format:

The City Bar presents the majority of its CLE programs via live webinar format with speakers and audience participating remotely from their office or home. Under compelling circumstances, and if space permits, the City Bar will consider presenting the proposed CLE program in-person.

7. List of Potential Speakers & Affiliation:*

(The NYS Office of Court Administration requires at least one program speaker in each segment to be a licensed member of a state bar in good standing. The NYC Bar strongly encourages faculties and panels to evidence gender diversity, as well as diversity of historically underrepresented groups, LGBTQ, and differently abled persons.)

8. Co-sponsoring Committees: The NYC Bar encourages committees to cosponsor one another’s CLE programs to the extent there is overlapping interest. Keeping this in mind please list any possible cosponsoring committees.

9. Instruction Hours:*

How many hours of instruction do you estimate for this program (Typical programs at the NYC Bar are 2-3 hours)

10. Target Audience:*

Please indicate the level of experience of your targeted audience

11. Practice Areas we should market this program to:*

12. Marketing:

We encourage all speakers and committee members to use their social media platforms to help promote events. In addition, if there is someone at your firm we can collaborate with in promoting the program, please let us know. Are there any forms of marketing you, your committee and faculty can provide to enhance awareness of the program?

13. Expenses: *

The City Bar is unable to pay speaker fees, or other related expenses including, but not limited to travel or lodging. For in-person programming, if you are considering a networking reception following the program, please know reception expenses must be coved by sponsorship (see section below on Sponsorship).

14. Sponsorship:

The City Bar encourages outside sponsorship of programming, helping firms and companies increase their reach and engage with the program audience. Sponsorship is also necessary to cover the costs of networking receptions associated with a program. If you or your panelists are interested in learning more about program sponsorship opportunities available with the City Bar, please contact Yelena Balashchenko, Associate Director, Business Development & Sponsorships, at (212) 382-6608 or ybalashchenko@nycbar.org.
