Pursuant to the Criminal Justice Act (CJA), the Second Circuit and Southern and Eastern Districts of New York have established panels of federally financed attorneys appointed to represent indigent defendants during federal criminal proceedings. This program will include current CJA panelists who will discuss the application process and mentorship programs developed to enhance diversity on these CJA panels.
