The Public Affairs Luncheon Series features speakers who address matters of public interest. The luncheons provide a forum to enable members of the City Bar to network, socialize and discuss matters of interest. The luncheons are open to the public.

Speaker: WILLIAM JOHNSON DEAN

William Johnson Dean is a noted author and native New Yorker. As a lawyer, he has been deeply involved in the life of the City, serving as the Executive Director of Volunteers of Legal Service, an organization providing pro bono services to the indigent. As a volunteer, he has served as chairman of several civic organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for the poor and homeless. His book is a collection of personal essays reflecting his close ties to the city. Topics range from Central Park, to Rikers Island, to basketball and beyond—a wonderful memoir he will share with us.
