Description:
The Women in the Legal Profession and Fashion Law Committees are sponsoring a breakfast program on intellectual property protections for fashion and furniture. Protection for products in these industries presents unique challenges. Panelists will discuss what protections may be available and suggestions for navigating this sometimes complex area of law. The program will cover protections under copyright, trademark and patent laws, and a discussion of the significance of artistic elements for obtaining protection. Recent cases will be discussed, including the Supreme Court’s recent Star Athletica decision.
